9. Not really...

#1 Son promised to go to the ER tonight (to get the tick bite checked out) if I'd take him out for some parallel parking practice first. So I took him, and as he was parking for the last time, the car stalled. Then I saw steam coming from under the hood. Antifreeze was spilling under the car. I had my youngest with me, it was getting dark, and we were in an almost empty parking lot just around the corner from where that boy was stabbed to death a couple of weeks ago.

So I called AAA and my mom, who was fortunately home. #1 son said, "Mom, I really can't stay...I'm going to walk home." I said, "Like hell you are...You can wait til your grandmother gets here!" I'm pretty sure he didn't get to the ER tonight. I hope he'll try to go during the weekend.

Fortunately, I can use Mr GoG's car to get to my gigs this weekend; but it'd be much easier if I had mine back.

I just took some Benedryl in hopes that it will help me get to sleep in spite of all the BS that's buzzing around in my brain now. :crazy:
