I hate high school kids.
And yes, I am one, and I know some who are pretty cool, but a huge number are just idiots.

And thanks to the internet, they can give me grief not only at school, but on evenings and weekends as well!

I don't feel like explaining again - go to the GLBT forum if you want to find out about the latest facebook dramaz I've had to deal with.

Oh well, only a year and a few months before I graduate.

1. I'm sure this won't help much... but the closedminded moron crowd isn't limited to high school.
It happens in all walks of life.

6. It's true...
...high school never really ends. It just goes on, and on, and on...

Just look at the asshole we have for a president. Need more proof?

2. I've never been one who looked at high school as the "best time of your life"
It strikes me that if that brief and meaningless period was the best part of anyone's life, they have a life I have no desire to live.

4. My daughter and I were talking about the same thing tonight.
One of her best friends is bi, she has several gay friends, and she has her own questions (but her feelings are private and not for me to share with DU). I'm married to a guy and most of my relationships have been with men and the way she and I feel is that no one wants to hear about the details of their mom's sex life, so we don't discuss details. However, she knows I'm open to talk with and have have my own experiences in life as well. Anyway, her friend who is bi is having and extremely tough time with her parents (punishments and penalties for her sexuality in hopes of "changing" her). It'll be 100% different in college (unless you go to Liberty University or some god awful place like that), but in the meantime, it sucks and the judgmental, narrow-minded crap people have to put up with from others in high school (or their parents) is pretty damned hard.

5. I hated high school so much I didn't go
Dropped out. Got a GED, eventually went to college, and I've never regretted high school, not once.(not recommending that, it's just what happened)I hated the feeling of being forced into some sort of normalcy compliance.

Aspiegirl, whatever those assholes are doing to you, as far as I'm concerned you're part of the solution and they're part of the problem.
