That, or they finally figured out that in 3 dimensional space, 2 just isn't enough for a stable ride. :P

they added the third one on the top after they'd already balanced it out for two. Just doesn't work that well. Seems like they'd be wasting a crapload of power keeping the engines pushing the right direction than.

Then again, they can always ask Geordi to reverse the polarity on something, that should fix the problem... :P
