Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Cab Calloway, etc...

Can you imagine the cost of a movie like that in 2008?

Wonderful music, great lines.


The local college brought the movie in, and was charging $50.00 a seat unless you knew a line from the movie, then it was $2.00. Obviously they weren't really charging $50.00, it was just their fun way of getting people to use the lines.

I got in for free because I said "Illinois Nazis. I hate Illinois Nazis." They said that nobody had used that line, so I could go in free. :-)

We had a movie night in the dorms when I was in undergrad too, we watched Blues Brothers and Ferris Buellers Day Off.
