Air Travel. Why do I dread it anymore?

This summer I have to travel back East for a family event and I'm sooooooooo not looking forward to the flight. I don't know what it is but I can not stand traveling by air anymore - I used to love to fly. It seems like the entire air travel experience is ridiculously stressful these days. First your treated like a criminal at the airport, then the flight crews are rude, the plane is filthy, the seats are uncomfortably narrow, do they even serve food anymore? It's insane! :mad:

Is it just me or does air travel in the past 20 years truly suck ass?

Try being someone with a metal hip. One of these times I am going to be pulled into a room and asked to strip.

I always enjoy flying...

The security people I've encountered have, for the most part, been cool...

The planes have been clean, though I agree, the food is very minimal...

And the staffs have been nice...:shrug:

It isn't quite as much fun as it used to be, I agree...

I hope you can get through your flight with a minimum of fuss...:hug:

3. when i went on vacation in march we were on 9 different flights in 15 days

you wanna talk aggravation. Most fucked up airport was in Frankfort Germany, getting to the gate was akin to "The amazing race" and getting though customs at O'Hare, that sucked.

4. it definitely sucks more

most of the blame for that can be placed on a very small number of people on this earth who do not know how to behave. But I haven't really noticed rude flight crews or filthy planes - the rudeness I see seems to come from passengers.
