two lawyers I know, both GOPers, both members of the Fed. Soc., were telling me today they support action to ratify the ERA as it was written over 30 years ago because based on a position paper John Roberts wrote well before he joined SCOTUS and the sheer number of Fed. Soc. members currently on SCOTUS (4 (I think...I was too disgusted to to hear them out) and Clarence Thomas who will go along.) they feel the ERA can and would be interpreted to give men an equal decision in repro. health decisions.

Such a right would deadlock some large number of personal reproductive decisions made every single day effectively outlawing those abortions. The question then becomes...is it better for choice activists and feminists to support or oppose the ERA?

How fucking evil is that?
