2. will that work? Can I just say. I'm number _____?
I don't think i'll get the crown royal (there is a limit to how much I want to drink this weekend) but it would be nice to save a bit on some snacks.

10. That would definitely work.
At Vons, you swipe the card through the credit card thing before you pay. If you don't have a card, you can enter a phone number...as long as the phone number is associated with an account, it will work.

3. Most states require that discount stores
like Costco and Sam's sell booze to anyone (who's old enough to buy it) WITHOUT a membership and without jacking up the price for non-members. Is Vons in that category? Maybe you should check.

5. You could have applied for one right at the register -- and they
would have given you the discount!!

6. You don't even have to use your own name or phone number!
;)

If you don't feel sneaky, there's always someone around with a discount card who'd be happy to get points toward a free deli sandwich or something.

I'd love to do a sociology/psychology research project with the Vons/Safeway Club Card database to see just how much :wtf: is in there.

7. Not sure I see the problem.

Works for me.

7 Crown works well for Manhattans, too.

But, if you have a good ph. # connected with Vons Club, it will work. I never remember to use my card, but I will put in the ph. # when prompted by the checker.

Edit: I went to the "well" one too many times.

12. They are vintage from the 60's.
The little white tea pot image is coming off, but otherwise they look good. The kitchen has an early 1960s blue theme. We are collectors of mid-century stuff.
