So what does this crazy mutant weirdo do? Besides look at me like I've officially misplaced my last remaining marble, I mean. He kinda flicks his wrists a bit, and lifts me up off of him a few inches. It was pretty impressive, at least until I remembered that I weigh 120 with my shoes on, and his arms are bigger around than my legs. :eyes:

My main rig with all my camera download software is still in the the AMD emergency room (blame LeftyMom). It's a salvage at this point, but I can't afford a rush nor a miss.

I'll do the cameraphone thing in the am. Housemate has puppy out on tour this evening.

System restore when using Microsoft O/S always works wonders for me.

It's with a friend who's a specialist. He's slow and overwhelmed, but I trust him to salvage my rig.

I got an error saying that, basically, the entire OS wasn't found. A restore, as I understand it, would've wiped out a lot of my crap, considering my last restore point (my fault, completely).

I hope it all turns out OK for ya! BTW- I usually do a complete reformat every six months.Nothing beats a clean system!

And I had been SO good with my restores in the past. New job, new house...the past 2 years I've just been "I'll do it later" mindset. Bit me, right smack in the arse. Totally my fault.

FWIW, it started with the system problem, went to smoke coming from the back to a total blowout at the power source. It was like, seriously, 3 things at once.

If you want it just pm me an address to send it to, I would rather someone use it than have it go to waste. It is a newer unit, I had to upgrade when I went to an SLI setup.
