I kinda want to see it just to see if it is truly as bad as they're saying. Anyway, saw this on a message board discussing the film:
I went to see this movie at a Regal theatre. My friend who used to work there told me that Regal has a policy that they will not play a movie unless at least one or two tickets (I forget which) are sold for a given showing.
There were about 15 people in the theatre. A Regal employee came in before the movie started and asked to see everyone's ticket stubs. Why? Because no tickets for "Expelled" had been sold at the box office, so they knew that none of us should have been in the theatre. Apparently all fifteen of us had done the same thing: we all bought tickets to a different movie because we didn't want to give our money to the people who made "Expelled."
As he was checking our stubs, an older couple came into the theatre. He checked their tickets, too. Apparently they bought tickets for "Expelled" because the kid walked out of the room and the trailers started a few minutes later. The kid never came back to make us leave...so a bunch of us got to this movie without having to give our money to the ID propaganda machine. Thank god for apathetic high school kids.
