Somebody else be me for today, ok?
Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 12:48 AM by clyrc
At noon today I have a meeting to go to. I'm a VP of a women's association, and I have some advice for anyone thinking of joining such an organization- DON'T! I've never seen such a bunch of backbiting, petty, paranoid, trouble-making, ego-ridden maniacs in my life. Silly me joined to do community volunteer work, what a naive sap I was. Today I may have to go on the offensive and start my own drama just to distract from the tedious ongoing stuff.

So, if anyone would like to fly out, take on the meeting and watch the circus, you would save me a few gray hairs.

On edit, I might add that my stomach is a vat of acid, I can't stop chewing my nails, and I really, really don't want to deal with this today.

1. Sure... i'll go tell them off, and you can...
go to my "women's studies" class and explain to the ultimate class of bimbos what the real world is like. *L*

2. Ya know, that hardly sounds like more fun
than what I have to do. Thanks for the offer, though!

3. do something unexpected
Something whimsical and spring-y. Get them off guard and out of the rut.

I know what you mean. The only thing worse is being the newcomer in such a group, and trying to make some changes. Yikes, they'll nibble you to death.

4. When I was a newcomer, it was actually much better
the last three years have been crazy.

I've got an hour and a half to figure out my plan, and I'm secure in the knowledge that there's hardly anything I could do to make things worse.
