1. My dear undeterred...
I hear you, sweetie...

It's tough...

Hopefully you'll feel a lot better once this stupid primary season is over...

2. We need to
push aside our different opinions on whether a Woman or an African American can do the job. We all believe in the basic political philosphy, If the party is divided the country is still divided and then we'll never get this country back on track.

4. Me too
I don't even read the election articles in Time and Newsweek any more - I skip straight to the international affairs pieces. The pettiness, dishonesty, and spin - from ALL sides and EVERY corner - repulses me. I'll vote, but as of right now I'm not exactly being inspired to do anything more.

5. American politics are pretty brutal.
I can't imagine having to deal with that shit constantly.

6. To be Honest
I'm also very tired of these attack ads and everything like that. This is my first time voting and I was getting really interested in it and i still am don't get me wrong but I hate hearing every single day that Obama attacked Clinton again or mccain said this or clinton said this.....It's like High school all over again.

9. I am involved so I can't just walk away
but sometimes I can see why there are people who just tune out completely and don't even vote.

Some people expect SO MUCH from a legislator and all they do is complain. And then there are those who will back up a candidate no matter what they do and make excuses for her. (I'm not thinking of the primaries here, just local stuff I am involved in.) It really ISN'T about the issues- a lot of the time the differences people have are actually quite petty.

And the lying. Before I knew anything about politics, I was unaware how much I was being lied to. Now that I know people, I realize its pretty common. White lies, of course... :banghead:

12. Yeah, I can be as depressed as I want
but I will still send out 350 emails tonight and do what I'm doing. I cannot be deterred. Depressed and discouraged, yes, but never deterred.

14. Me too.....It just never stops.....
The complete stupidity that is. If it were about something then it might be worthwhile, but right now it is just stupid.

Really, sometimes I just wish i could turn it off.

16. I am not so sick of politics as I am over the nit picking over stupid shit.
That's why I refuse to participate in GDP or candidate wars.

My theory is: "Never try to teach a pig to sing. It doesn't work, and it annoys the pig"
