2. Off topic here, and you probably already know this....
...but some good news re:Michael Franti and Spearhead.

We just put the finishing touches on our new album, ALL REBEL ROCKERS which was recorded in San Francisco and L.A. but mostly in Kingston Jamaica, so it seemed an obvious choice to return to Jamaica to catch the vibe for videos of the songs "A Little Bit a Riddim" and "All I Want Is You". We worked with legendary director Ras Kassa who is the premier video director in Jamaica right now. Kassa has unlimited energy and creative power behind the camera and is amazing to watch work - jumping, dancing and keeping the cast and crew laughing the whole time on set.

This album is our tuffest yet, taking things deeper into the reggae/rock/dancehall groove than we have ever gone before, but without losing the revolutionary lyrics, catchy melodies, or the unifying power of music we have always championed.

Shooting videos on the streets of Kingston was an incredible experience because so many people came out to not only watch, but dance and get in on the act. Music in Jamaica is a true communal experience!

This album will be our most visual to date as we currently have four videos in production at the same time, having just shot scenes in Indonesia for the songs, "Hey World" and "Remote Control" with the multi-talented Carla Swanson and hot upcoming director Dugan O'Neal.

Keep your eyes peeled to this site as we will be launching music videos and new FRANTI-V episodes in the very near future.

I have been wondering if they were gonna have a new album this summer. They are headlining a lot of fests this summer, really high profile fests and thought they might be having a new album. thanks for confirming this. It will be great to see the new songs....
