Dog problem
#1 - Dogs are NEVER the problem.

#2 - I put a dog to sleep (because I had to) 15 yrs ago and still feel guilty.

#3 - I've got 2 dogs now, one 16 yrs old and he doesn't want to die, and one 3 yrs old, so I can't travel anywhere.

#4 - I would -------LUERVE--------- to volunteer at the dog pound, but I would want to adopt ALL of them. So, I wouldn't last A DAY!1

HERE, you bastids! :

1. What exactly is the problem?
Adorable puppy! Are you thinking of adopting him/her? Is that the problem? Too many dogs?

4. OK, thanks for the explanation.
I know how you feel. I love them all too, and have a hard time saying no. I took in a rescue Yorkie a few years ago, and spent a small fortune on his vet bills. I have also rescued other dogs to find them homes. It is a very emotionally-draining experience, IMO.

God bless those who do this work. It really takes a very special person to go through it over and over. Good luck to you, whatever you decide to do.

:hi:

3. Are you wanting to adopt this one? I wouldn't be able to resist either! He/she is adorable!
I can't go to the pound either. Every time I've gone there "just to look", I end up bringing one home with me. *sigh*

5. I'm the same way about cats.
Every time I see an adoption drive I find myself debating whether or not I can handle just one more cat... :(

But my limit is 3, and after these three I'm only going to adopt adult cats. It's important to have limits and know what they are.

6. Volunteer anyway.
They won't let you take them all home, and the help you provide will help save lives even if you don't take them home with you.

You will make bonds that will never end. I STILL get e-mails from folks that adopted from our Humane Society as much as 6 years ago, telling me about their dog that I helped them adopt. I love hearing from them to this day.

It'll change your life. Honest.
