Police looking for Cootchie and Jitterbug

Fredericksburg police are looking for two men who they say stole and sold property even after the owner caught them in the act.

City police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said a woman who lives in the 1100 block of Dixon Street saw two men breaking into her shed about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday with a hatchet.

She recognized the two men but knew them only by their nicknames, "Coochie" and "Jitterbug," Bledsoe said.

Bledsoe said the suspects continued breaking into the shed even after the woman threatened to call police.

They took an air-conditioning unit and sold it at Summit Recycling for $30, police said.
