My Computer Burned Me!

I awakened in the middle of the night with a pain on my leg. I wasn't sure what it was and I could feel the beginnings of a blister.

This morning I have about a 3 inch long and narrow blister with a reddened area about the size of a tennis ball imprint I would guess.

It is a burn. My computer is the only thing that was in my bed that could have burned me. (yeah I know that seems strange, I fall asleep with my computer in my bed on) So my computer really is out to get me.

Also it kinda reminds me that I need to turn it off and take it out of the bed because if it can burn me and blister, then it could likely start a fire.

Live and learn, I guess I knew it got warm, just didn't imagine it would burn me. :scared:

So now I have it covered with a 4x4 gauze bandage because I work around some nasty bugs that I really don't want to get introduced to an opening from a burn.

1. Damn lucky the bed didn't catch on fire.

People think that laptops can go anywhere but if you put them on something soft like shag carpet or bedding the airflow underneath is cut off. Always put them on a flat hard surface that gives you a little unrestricted airspace underneath.

It wont solve the I fall asleep on my puter. need 2 set it 2 auto shut down or hibernate. thanks :hug:
