I got this great idea
so I'm going to austrailia and new zealand this summer for this meeting of people from all over the world. We have to bring something to trade with other people from other countries. I was thinking that I should get some pins with Peace signs on them and give them out. Think about it.....the US isn't on the world's favoite perosn list right now and I think that by giving them that it'll give them a lasting impression or an example that not all americans are blood thirsty war hawks.

What do you think?

I really really want to go to Australia. I have met/known a few Aussie's in the last few years..And they are VERY friendly folks. I think as long as you are willing to put down Chimpy and acknowledge this country isn't the only one that matters, you will do fine (people in other countries tend to be aggravated with the americancentric view of the world). I think the peace pins will work overall.
One piece of advice though when in Australia, don't go around saying loudly "G'day mate!" In a bad accent..I have that on good authority thats an automatic eye roller....:D

4. Oh I plan on not saying that
I don't want to give them another reason for people to be annoyed with americans

2. Tshirts that say "I'm sorry for my stupid President"
I like the pins. Make sure they're made in America though.

3. Are you series?
You're going to two of the places I have on my list, should I suddenly need to remove my boys from a military draft and defect to another country. You lucky guy!!!!

Peace symbol - you can't go wrong with that; but be prepared for them to question you on it.

6. Yeah I can't wait
I'd have to say so myself I would move there also if there was a draft. Lots of jobs there, so I've heard. Thanks for the advice
