81. Sorry...I'm exhausted
that was the actual purpose of the sheets...I'm suffering waking exhaustion the last week or so, which means I'm not sleeping comfortably and tossing a lot in my sleep. Hopefully, I'll wake up tomorrow like I just slept in an expensive hotel bed. Otherwise, It's time for new pillows and if that doesn't work...new mattress.

Also, you might be shocked to know I'm an awful tease talker. Can't flirt either. I'm just too direct.

82. okay. sleep help for you
lie down with the lights off. if you like soft music, that'll do, but not needed.

put your right hand over your heart and your left hand on your abdomen. take a long, deep breath so that your abdomen rises first - breath from your diaphragm first, then up into your chest. slowly release the breathe. (do this through your nose.) Feel your heart beating. repeat - that really works to put people to sleep that I've known.

43. smoking in bed is the best
I can't smoke in the apartment I'm in now, because I'm renting it furnished (a smoky smelling mattress and bed I think could assure that I don't get my security deposit back), but when I move in July, I very well may start up again. Maybe I'll move the electric kettle and french press into the bedroom too and keep them next to the bed.... hmm... now I wonder why I want something larger than a studio apartment if that's how I'm going to treat it.

the French press, loose-leaf tea infuser, water kettle, espresso machine, saké set and laptop are all arm's reach from the bed. I thought I was the only person alive who would be most comfortable living in a 25 sq. foot box.

39. I Had A Funny In My PM Box Earlier
a funny thing for me anyway

someone had written on something called a digememo backwards handwriting and sent it in my inbox.

I had to put it up to the mirror to read it.

I dunno, it made me smile

I also get to go on a "heart walk" in the morning...

Even though my computer burned my leg 2 nights ago while I was sleeping :spray: the blister is healing.

I ordered a strawberry smoothie at the coffee shop and asked them to "put two shots of that caffeine stuff in it" I asked them how much was in it and she told me that one shot= about what is in a can of red bull, so I drank the equivalent of 2 cans of red bull and didn't swing from the chandeliers. It was good too! :9

I had BBQ for lunch

I need to go eat some dinner but I'm not very hungry so I probably will just eat a little bit and at this time of night that is good :D

I talked to my son on the phone for a little bit, he was watching Star Wars (one of his new obsessions) and got off the phone in less than 3 minutes to watch it which was pretty funny hearing him scramble to come up with reasons to go.

I got an email from a friend telling me why they couldn't talk to me anymore, and I guess if what they said is what they think then it is just as well.

Okay, I'm sinking here, I'll stop, 'cause my "good news" is starting to sound like it's coming from an old tin can speaker.

:hi:

45. Here's a funny I got today:

Toward the end of Sunday service, the Minister asked, 'How many of you have forgiven your enemies?'

80% held up their hands.

The Minister then repeated his question.

All responded this time, except one small elderly lady.

'Mrs. Neely?'; 'Are you not willing to forgive your enemies?'

I don't have any.' She replied, smiling sweetly.

'Mrs. Neely, that is very unusual. How old are you?'

'Ninety-eight.' she replied.

'Oh, Mrs. Neely, would you please come down in front & tell us all how a person can live ninety-eight years & not have an enemy in the world?'

The little sweetheart of a lady tottered down the aisle, faced the congregation, and said:

'I OUTLIVED THE BITCHES'

50. Here's another one, for Mother's Day:
Four brothers left home for college, and they became successful doctors and lawyers and prospered.

Some years later, they chatted after having dinner together. They discussed the gifts that they were able to give to their elderly mother who lived far away in another city.

The first said, "I had a big house built for Mama."

The second said, "I had a hundred thousand dollar theater built in the house."

The third said, "I had my Mercedes dealer deliver her an SL600."

The fourth said, "Listen to this. You know how Mama loved reading the Bible and you know she can't read it anymore because she can't see very well. I met this priest who told me about a parrot that can recite the entire Bible. It took twenty priests 12 years to teach him. I had to pledge to contribute $100,000 a year for twenty years to the church, but it was worth it. Mama just has to name the chapter and verse and the parrot will recite it."

The other brothers were impressed.

After the holidays Mom sent out her Thank You notes. She wrote:

"Milton, the house you built is so huge. I live in only one room, but I have to clean the whole house.

Thanks anyway."

"Marvin, I am too old to travel. I stay home; I have my groceries delivered, so I never use the Mercedes.

The thought was good. Thanks."

"Michael, you give me an expensive theater with Dolby sound, it could hold 50 people, but all my friends are dead, I've lost my hearing and I'm nearly blind. I'll never use it.

Thank you for the gesture just the same."

"Dearest Melvin, you were the only son to have the good sense to give a little thought to your gift

The chicken was delicious.

Thank you."

70. GREAT!
what medium? can you show us a picture?

...and how're you doing? I've been in gd-p too much, but when I was around here a little bit, sounded like you were having to deal with some depression issues? I think I've been in some weird nether-region b/t depression and one giant anxiety attack for about 8 years now. hoping it will get better when Booosh is gone.

I did it last semester, but touched it up. The picture is a bit washed out because it's from my cellphone.

I'm always dealing with depression, but I'm maintaining on Effexor for the past year.

:hi:

I'm probably weird (probably?!?) but I LOVE pictures of apples. I really like the work on the whole picture, but I love the apples. how long did it take you to do that? It's so detailed.

Hmmmm I don't remember exactly. Probably at least a week or longer. I'm not very fast. Also I added a lot more shadows/depth recently (that is my weak point). Thank you for the kind words.

92. That was fun!!
I created a post in gd-p that was simply... give some love to Howard Dean...pretty innocuous, I thought. Wanted to be positive among all the venom in that forum.

But people (still today) feel a need to inform me and anyone else who just wants to spread a little love that he's a failure, he's responsible for their state party's stupid decisions, and not only that, he invented hang nails and every other annoyance in the world.

Got a card for someone like that? maybe-

Hey, you're the kind of person who rants at people's weddings!
Now go away!

something like that?

and will set again this evening.

The warm, spring rain still walks barefoot through the tops of trees.

Cats still play with their arch-enemy string.

People still laugh and sometimes they fall in love.
