21. Black bean soup

Cooked the beans with a roasted turkey leg. Sauteed onion, celery, jalapeno, and garlic with some berbere (African spice mixture) and added toward the end. Pureed half of soup to thicken and added shredded turkey meat.

I'm also going to make some chickpeas with chorizo. I like to make dishes for weekday lunches on the weekend (love cooking but not when I get home from work) so I pick things that reheat well.

20. A "real life"? Surely, you jest. (NEXT Saturday, on the other hand...)

The wife and I just finished some tacos, and now we're baking cookies. The wee one went to bed a little while ago, but apparently was not ready, so we went to retrieve him, and he's now watching "My Friends Tigger And Pooh." Once he's ready for bed again, we'll watch "Numb3rs," and maybe an episode of "Undeclared."

NEXT Saturday, however, we're going to see The Cure. Then I'm playing a wedding or a private engagement pretty much every Saturday from...umm...whenever two Saturdays from now is until November.

I work for a digital archiving company. We do microfilm/microfiche then to digital photography. I train camera operators and inspect the final product. Not a highly skilled job but one I really enjoy. The pay is very good as are the benefits and I cannot afford to lose them.
