We just received a phone call from the hospital.

My mother-in-law passed away just after 4:00 this morning. We had them take her off the respirator Friday afternoon since the doctors gave us no chance for improvement and she hung on until this morning. It is very sad, but also a relief. They say she went peacefully.
I pray that she is with her husband, daughter and rest of her family. I am just questioning everything right now.
I just feel like I am unable to offer real comfort to my husband or his brother.

As far as your husband goes, just be there for him. You don't have to say or do much if you don't know what to do. Just listening can be of great benefit. :hug:
