Horseback riding with MissHoneychurch ... (Warning: Pics)
We rode in the woods on Belle (my horse) and Dooley (her unfortunately named horse).

It was a bit hard to get the camera to focus while the horses were going, but we managed to get a few shots that aren't too bad.

First, the scenery:

What it looked like from my perspective:

Here's MissHC on her horse:

Oh, wait ... that was her horse. Didn't quite aim the camera high enough. Here's the rest:

Here I am coming down the hill while MissHC hides behind a small tree:

Here she is behind me, coming down the same hill:

And finally, cuddling with her horse:

11. That looks like a lot of fun!
:)

I'm one of many people here who never had a chance to go horseback riding. It looks like it would a great experience in those woods.

Yay! Please post more pictures!

15. It was the first time for me to ride a horse in the woods
now, we didn't really have to do much, just sit in the saddle and try to hold on. The horse was trained well enough to do the rest. It was just a wonderful experience. I loved it. I feel kinda sad that I can't do it more often

26. I can guess
that riding a horse is one of those experiences that can become an adicting hobby. :(

I am glad it was a wonderful experience. I'm glad it's one of many wonderful experiences that you're having. :)

I'm sorry it's not something you're likely to do very often.

I'd love to try riding a horse at some point, but I don't think I could physically handle it at this point. So it's not likely that I'll ever get the chance.

28. Maybe if someone is leading the horse
while you sit on it. And while on an even ground. Then you could get the experience as well. I really wish you could.

17. It was fun.
First time for me to ride in the woods, although I've gone on open trails and fields before. It was a bit different and exciting. I don't know if I'll ever be completely comfortable with horses, but I did like Belle. :D

Most of the other pictures are fuzzy. This really is all we have. :(

24. Those are awesome pictures.
:)

Having never been on a horse, I have no idea what it's like, or how easy/hard it is to be comfortable up there. But that seems like it was a great experience. It's so cool that you were able to go do that.

27. Thanks.
It's a little different than it looks. Feels really high up. I expect that it gets more comfortable when you've done it several times. The trail was rocky and I was never sure if my horse would slip on the rocks or not. I suppose you get used to things like that.

This is a farm where all the horses have been rescued from kill sales. They keep some of them for trail riding and adopt some of them out. It's on 50+ acres.

I LOVE riding!! How many horses do you have?

My idea of heaven, land and horses. But they are alot of work, huh. I have a friend in VT that has horses and they are her life.

Someday (sigh) -- maybe I will join a horse coop. :D

Hi from sunny Philadelphia :hi:

32. None.
We went to a horse rescue ranch to ride. I want to have some, maybe, but have to wait until things calm down a bit before I can really decide. We have enough to keep us busy right now.

How's your trip so far? :hi:

I haven't been horseback riding in a couple of years. And . . . my horseback riding consists of "tourist horses"! LOL!

Glad to see that you're having a great time!

This was my first time in several years. These are "trail horses" ... sort of like "tourist horses" I think. But going up and down hills in the woods was exciting enough. ;)
