| Please join me in wishing my Maternal Grandmother a Happy 101st Birthday |

A staunch southern Democrat, picked cotton in West Tennessee until she got married at 17 and moved to Gary, Indiana where she helped my Maternal Grandfather bootleg for the Capone Organization, Waited Tables, Cleaned Hotel Rooms, had a son that earned the Distinguished Flying Cross in WWII, a Daughter that gave two kids up for adoption and drank herself to death at age 50 and My Mom who had many troubles of her own.....
Three years after my Maternal Grandfather died (in 1966), she married my Paternal Grandfather who was then divorced from my Paternal Grandmother, thus making my parents my Aunt and Uncle and complicating my own Parents' Divorce to no end. When she does eventually die, she will be buried between both my Grandfathers.  Happy Birthday MoMo...... |
