Any must-sees? This is just a leisurely vacation in a place we hear is beautiful. I think we're aiming for the Apple Creek Resort in Fish Creek as our home base; don't know much more about the Door Peninsula other than that. So, we're open to suggestions! Especially for restaurants.

We'll probably head to Milwaukee near the end of the week to see my brother and sister-in-law.

7. they have a publication each year called "The Key to the Door."

They also have one with lots of restaurants' menus.

The Chocolate Chicken in Egg Harbor has the best cappuccino IMO. The "Not Licked Yet" frozen custard stand in Fish Creek has what tasted to me like the highest butterfat content ice cream on the planet. Have it with a slice of Schartner's fresh baked cherry pie and you will be in heaven.

The only disappointment with the higher end restaurants we encountered the last two years was the English Inn. It used to be wonderful.

My husband grew up in Wisconsin. We have a summer place (inherited from his parents) in Egg Harbor and like to go to Mike's Pub in Jacksonport for lunch. Just a tavern but they have a cool steak sandwich.

Fish fries are mandatory on Friday nights (Mr. G's is our favorite) and you might want to check out a Fish Boil, a kind of tradition. I'm not crazy about Fish Boils but they are kinda cool to do.
