I am a big Science Fiction fan but have never read any of Ursula K. Le Guin's novels, although I have read several of her short stories. It isn't that I haven't been interested or deliberately avoided the novels they just never seemed to get to the top of my rotation. I've liked pretty much all the short works I've read by her.
But now I happen to be re-reading the Aeneid and just happened to catch a review on NPR today that mentioned her latest book, Lavina, which isn't Science Fiction at all but since I also happen to be reading the Aeneid I looked up more about the book and story and then listened to a reading and Q&A (most of it) she recently gave a book store
