How often do you cut your fingernails?

Seems like I'm cutting mine every week. I can't stand it if they get the slightest bit long!

1. About every week...sometimes less

mine grow pretty fast, and I can't stand them being long. I'm due for a manicure pretty soon, they're looking pretty rough

2. About once a week.

I can't stand getting axil grease under my nails so I keep them really short.

3. A couple times a week.

I like my nails short, they grow out unevenly, and if I want them reularly-shaped, that means short. They *never* used to grow when I wanted them long, but now that I keep them short, they seem to grow fine--maybe they are more cared-for and appreciated, like a well-treated lawn?

(Fie to my lawn, and my nails, that I am consumed with their upkeep! Sniff.) I will see that mine are long, and cut them short, and a few days later, see they are uneven, and cut them again. It's unending, really. When I wear nailpolish, it's even worse. I go two-three days, realize I'm a chip-fest, and after removing polish, see all the dry, white streaks on my nails. Clipitty-clippetty--off with the dead, regrow the new. Rounds of cuticle cream and shea butter. I want nice short nails. Long, they aren't *nice*.

4. Mine grow ridiculously fast, and I'm a string player so I can't have 'em long.

But they don't always grow the same speed, so I average about one or two nails per day. :P

I almost always manage to crack them off gardening and then just use a file to straighten them out.
