Edited on Thu May-08-08 10:04 AM by UndertheOcean
with some slimfast shakes...Been on the phone with the 1800-suicide hotline guy for 4 hours , bored him to death. Then agreed I will go to the campus clinic,,,

Well, I wanted to start my dialy 4 mile run before going to take the edge of the exploding brain ,,, but my diet , coupled with not being able to sleep at all since saturday (The whiskey last night , gave me two hours tops , with a lot of puking) all caused me a fucking pass out sfter the 2nd mile ... passer by where helpful , and one of this took me to the UCF csmpus..

The same same old going over all the old history 'anxiety' 'panic' 'palpitations' "depressions" "sbdominal pains due to stress ..... its all in your head ... only for it to turn out to be a gallbladder problem that after 4 years since pain started was a few minutes from bursting and reducing my survival rate immensley

normally ,
i like dactors taking to me , but right now I am so fed up , just right the damn script!

after learning sbout my insomnia , we wrote me up Ambien , saying it should help me for now

ok took it 30 minutes ago , and its not fucking working , I am only slightly drowsy , I WANT TO JUST SLEEP.....sigh, my gut tells me to try anotehr pill , but my brain , or whatever is left of it , says no

1. Being on the computer is not letting the Ambien work.
Keeps your brain too active.

9. I don'[t want to sound like a horror monger but please be careful with Ambien
I took it for a couple years and I stopped when I realized that I was doing things on the medication that I later didn't remember. I'm not going to say don't take it but I would recommend that for your safety you don't take it until you are actually lying in bed. People have been known to get in their car and drive, to do all sorts of dangerous things under the influence of Ambien. To my knowledge I never drove but I know I freaked my kids out with the weird things I would say and I did some stuff around the house that made no sense (like putting dish washing soap in the water cooler, cooking when I wasn't fully conscious, making phone calls and sending emails that I later had no recollection of). My ex-boyfriend even claimed that I had made a suicide attempt while under the influence of Ambien. I don't know if he as bullshitting me because I don't remember consciously having suicidal thoughts and I don't remember any of the stuff that he said happened. Again,I'm not trying to tell you not to take it but rather I'm telling you to be extra cautious about taking it and putting yourself in the safe environment of your bed prior to doing so. I hope you're able to get some sleep, I have experience with insomnia and I know how much it can mess with your mind but I don't want you to do anything unsafe. Please take care.

10. I went to my doctor for insomnia.
He was going to give me Ambien, but when he learned of my childhood sleepwalking he prescribed Xanax (just for sleeping) - there is a big addiction risk if it's taken all the time. It has the added benefit of calming anxiety as I fall asleep.

I hope you can calm down and find peace.

11. May I suggest you see a psychiatrist? I suggest writing a "manifesto" of

a time-line of your life. One section of relevant physical symptoms including sleep issues (inability sleep, no desire to sleep, oversleep etc), and another of the most major emotional situations you have been through how they made you feel and how you handled them (short and sweet for each situation, though). Be sure to document as best you can the time periods in order of when these things happen so the doctor can see if there is a pattern.

I did this with a p-doc a couple of years ago and finally got the correct diagnosis of bipolar 2 after a couple of decades of being mistaken for clinically depressed with a dose of general anxiety disorder.

(I hear ya about sleep pills not working. With my bipolar I don't really get good sleep even when on them. But I am on a mood stabilizer now that might help that.)

Editing to mention that p-docs are very expensive, however you might be able to see one at a state or county facility that will charge you on a sliding scale. Maybe the suicide hotline can give you some numbers for someone like that in your area?
