Am I Out of my Freaking Mind?
I'm considering buying a Herman Miller Aeron chair for my office.

The problem? They cost $950.00.

It is, though, the single most comfortable office chair I've ever sat in.

Does anyone else here own one? (C'mon let's hear from all you elitist Obama supporters. I know you guys sit in thousand dollar chairs, while typing at your Waterford crystal keyboards!)

The pros: I sit for 8-10 hours a day, and this think won't wreck my back.
It comes with a 12 year warranty, that replaces anything that might break.

The cons: $950.00

1. If you can afford it, go for it
they ARE great chairs, and trust me, it's a lot cheaper than back surgery.

2. We had / have a few
of them in the office where I work. People actually fought over them (argued). I had one and didn't like it at all. I found it very uncomfortable in the thigh area. I will qualify that though with the fact that I was morbidly obese at the time I was using it and I did NOT fit into it very well. (laugh if you must). I did try one again recently, I'm MUCH smaller now than then and I still didn't feel comfortable in it. IMHO "I" wouldn't buy one but you obviously like it so, NO you're not out of your mind. It's important to be comfortable when you sit for that amount of time any day.

just my 2 cents.

6. Thanks for your input.
I did notice that they come in 3 different sizes. I'd be getting the Large, if I do it.

4. I have one
It's a Godsend if you have back problems.

5. Only regret about being laid off: Losing the Aeron....
...Trust me, I thought about trying to nab it for the "home office," but security was too tight. I'd say it's a good investment if you have back problems. A grand is a lot for a chair, but not compared to time/money spent later because of spine issues.

7. Does anyone know if the arms can be removed?
The only thing I've seen in the description it that they are "fully adjustable".

I'd need arms off the chair sometimes to accommodate holding and playing a bass.
