Want to help the cyclone victims in Myanmar?

If you're looking for a way to help the people of Myanmar, here's list of groups who are able to get through, or who already have staff in country:

Aid agencies accepting Myanmar cyclone relief donations

By The Associated Press – 4 days ago

The following aid agencies are accepting contributions to help those affected by the cyclone in Myanmar. The list is from InterAction, a coalition of aid agencies, which can be contacted at InterAction at (202) 667-8227 or http://www.interaction.org.

This is about as thorough a list as I've seen, complete with links to donation sites.

1. I thought the government of Myanmar was confiscating all foreign aid
I'm all for donating to help those suffering people, but not if they aren't even going to get what we send. What kind of F'ed up "government" confiscates emergency aid shipments to disaster victims?

*sigh*

2. Some aid is getting through.
The problem is that the junta doesn't want foreigners coming in. Agencies with staff already in country are faring better than those trying to get boots on the ground. Yes, some confiscations have taken place, but not all aid is being confiscated. The hardest task is getting visas.
