1. not surprising
The Weather Channel's founder is anti-GCC.

About 10 minutes ago, I overheard a coworker say "I'm looking for some global warming" because it's a bit chilly here. What an idiot. I almost stood up and said "the key word is 'global' not 'local' but I doubt they'd have any idea about what I was saying.

2. That would explain
why weather.com's local forecast for the next five days is 66°, 76°, 81°, 85°, 83°, while Weather Underground's is 74°, 85°, 92°, 94°, 97°, corroborated by all the local news broadcasts.

Weather.com probably thinks heat is left-wing propaganda.
