Have you ever sent a company a customer testimonial?
I just e-mailed Zero Odor to tell 'em that their product is the best thing since sliced bread. It got the stink out of my carpet where my cat was spraying to tell me he had a urinary infection. I really thought they should know that their stuff performed this miracle. But I sounded like a "paid actor" when doing it. Seemed kind of silly when I read it. I sent it anyway.

Ever gushed over a product like that?

1. Yup, I emailed Birdseye about their steamfresh singles packs of
peas and corn because I thought it was a great idea to make single servings available and they are very good. They sent me a thank you letter and a 20 cent coupon. Only time I've ever done anything like that.

2. I only send angry letters when crap doesn't work right...
Sometimes, I've gotten replacement products in the mail.. other times, it's been returned to sender (mysteriously opened).

4. Yes
I emailed Ford Motor Company to rave about my 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII. 13 years old, 202,000 miles and it still runs like a champ and doesn't use a drop of oil....even if the cooling system is a pain to work on, I certainly can't complain about the service I have gotten from that old car, she just keeps chugging along

5. I sent one to Castrol once
I was driving my Volkswagen one day when the oil light came on. There was plenty of oil in it, so I figured the sensor hole had gotten clogged, which happens. We ran around for a little while longer, then went home.

The next morning, I went outside to screw with the car some and pulled the sensor to clean it. Just on a hunch, I stuck a rag under the hole and started the engine. The sensor wasn't lying--there really WAS no oil pressure. I shut down the engine, pulled the oil pump, and used my hydraulic press to adjust the length of the drive rod in the pump. After I did that, I refilled the car with oil and did a compression test. No damage.

Castrol got a very nice letter about the superior film strength of its product. I got a Castrol hat and a coupon for a case of their product.

7. I e-mailed L. L. Bean about their service
They were offering free shipping to anywhere in the U. S. including APO addresses (doesn't happen often) which meant I got to send Mr. WMU's Christmas present to Iraq for free. They sent a message back telling me that they printed the letter out and hung it up for all of their customer service reps. to see.

8. That's good. Most people will complain in a Tennessee minute but don't ever say anything about
good products or good service.

Well, I did something similar about an Amazon vendor who gave me good service.

9. I emailed the company for Sylvia's chicken gravy mix.
It's a powered mix, but the best pre-packaged gravy mix I've ever had. The beef gravy is really good, too.

10. All the time

I once sent a letter to a drug store chain about a manager who exercised extraordinary patience with me.

This isn't a product, but I once sent a letter to the editor about what friendly and competent customer service our local public librarians performed. Of course, I was contasting it witht the lousy service of the local post office but the librarians told me it went up on the bulletin board in the coffee room.
