YIKES!!!!
One month of the interferon/Pegasys actually costs $1,250! Of course I had a little financial help from here but oh man is that gonna hurt my wallet when I pick it up tomorrow. Meanwhile I am gonna call the assholes at the insurance company and tell them to hurry the fuck up on the appeal as I am getting sicker!:wow:

2. Get your HR department involved. They're truly the only ones
who can speed it along. Have them threaten to take their business elsewhere.

Trust me on this. The HR department wields a lot of power over its vendors, of which CIGNA is one.

3. Sigh
My HR department is so useless its not even funny. I'm at corporate HQ with well over a 1,000 people and I think right now there are THREE HR people full time on site.

4. Find the highest ranking person in the department and get them on it.
Insist on speaking with them. Tell them that your health is suffering which will, in the long run, cost them a small fortune if you don't get the medicine.

Good luck.

5. Once your insurance co gets its head out of its ass...
Will you be reimbursed for expenses you incurred during their protracted ass-head-ectomy?

That is so fucked up. I've gotten headaches from dealing with my own insurance providers in the past, but never anything that would actually qualify as life-threatening.

It's lucky for you that you get those huge kickbacks from being a shill for big pharma.

(kick, because I said so.)
