Can taking vitamins for a few weeks make you look younger?

Just curious.....I've been taking a good multi-vitamin for the last few weeks, and my skin looks softer. I look young for my age, but I've noticed the frown lines going away. Weird.

1. Just guessing here, but I think if someone had been

chronically deficient in some vitamins their appearance might reflect that. Just as an extreme example, sailors used to suffer scurvy after months without vitamin C and their appearance really took a nosedive. Within days of getting vitamin C in their diet, however, the improvement was dramatic. So maybe someone who had, for a long enough time, only been getting 70% of a certain vitamin might not look like hell, but their skin wouldn't look as good as it should.

The improvement would end at the point when the body was getting all it required.

There's probably somebody somewhere who would argue, but I think taking a good multi-vitamin pill every day is an excellent habit to get into.

2. Have you done anything else?

If not, then I'd say perhaps you are now getting something you were lacking before, and possibly it's helping.

Improving your over-all health at any rate, and then your body can self-repair. Certainly can't hurt.
