3. My number is in the middle of that group.
Maybe it is a bank transfer problem.

Thanks

7. I guess that makes me one of teh gays
I'll need you to break it to my wife, though.

Are we to be notified via mail that we're getting our rebates via direct deposit?

6. the chart said May9
and it went into my account on May 9. Unfortunately, my wife had pre-spent all but about $50 of it having her car worked on the week before. Think George will send me another one?

8. Did you have
your taxes done by a professional tax service, and if so, did you pay their fee out of your return?

they had a blurb on the news here last night saying that people that used the pros like H&R block or whoever and had the fees deducted would be getting paper checks instead of direct deposit.

10. No professional help....
but I did my own taxes online and the fee was taken out of the refund. So that is probably it.

Thanks

12. yep
I bet that's it. If you had anything deducted from the refund, it's paper checks. I was in the May 9 group too, now it will be june 13 :(

13. Also just learned that, even if you filed early, paid fees, direct deposit - then amended return

14. I found this on the IRS website after GTRMAN's response..
From the IRS web site:

We are sorry. Specific information about your Stimulus Payment is not available.
Possible reasons include:

* Your payment may still be coming, but has not yet been sent. Information will be available here as payments are sent based on the last two digits of the primary SSN shown on your 2007 tax return. Specific information about your Stimulus Payment will not be available until about one week before your payment is scheduled to be sent. See the complete Payment Schedule below for more information.

* Filing and/or preparation fees were deducted from your refund or you received a rapid refund from your preparer. You will be receiving a check instead of a direct deposit. Please see the Paper Check Payment Schedule below.

* You did not file a tax return for 2007 or your return is still being processed. Additional information about filing requirements is available.

* The information entered did not match our records. Be sure to check the information you entered. You may Re-Enter your information as necessary.

This probably explains it. My online filing fee was taken from my refund.

16. I also read that people who had to pay
(like us) have to wait. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me since I filed early and the $2700 check I sent the IRS cleared my credit union on 4/9, but rather than receiving ours on 5/9 which is what the IRS website says, we apparently have to wait until 6/13. To me, if the goal is to stimulate the economy, they would rush the money out to the people who just had to dole out a big chunk of change to the government rather than the people who got a refund and already have money to spend, but what do I know?
