So I get home yesterday, and the phone message light is actually blinking, for the first time in weeks. (I have rather few friends in meatspace, which explains my ubiquitous presence here.) Who could it be? Either of two prospective employers? Publishers Clearing House, maybe?

"Please donate to the victims of the Myanmar cyclone" (their nomenclature), in a voice as obviously automated as Marv Albert's hair is fake. So much for that brilliant plan. Wonder when I'm gonna get one about the Chinese earthquake?
