You've probably all known "the perfect couple". You know, the couple who seemed to
have the perfect marriage, with everything going for them, truly a team, no signs of trouble anywhere, enviable in every way. And then, to the stunned shock of everyone, they announce they're getting a divorce. And there will be no effort at reconciliation, no attempt to work out their problems, just *poof* they're getting a divorce.

I'm experiencing that right now, with a family member. It seems so sad to me, but the two parties involved show nothing but relief. After 18 years, they're going their separate ways, and they seem to be the only people not disturbed by it. I love them both, and wish them both well, but I am just stunned by this.

Appearances can certainly be deceiving. Weird, huh?

1. Things are seldom as they seem....
...there's just no such thing as "a perfect couple" in my lifetime, anyway. Maybe I'm just cynical... I hope I'm just cynical. :-(

2. That was me and my now ex......
most people were stunned. But things are not what they seem. We had problems and neither of us wanted to admit it and by then it was too late.
