Can any husband be more of a putz?
My friend's husband. I have written of him before, the control freak with the sex addiction to prostitutes and porn. Gave her an STD.
Thousands of dollars disappear from the bank account, but she has to account for every cent. Has hit her. :(

Well, now Mr. Wonderful wants to sell their new house and work part-time. Oh, and he wants all the proceeds of said house sale to be invested by HIM. :eyes:

Geez. :(

1. I think they should sell the house
and your friend will take half of what it sells for in the divorce.

2. He wants to invest the proceeds?
Sounds like a winner. What could possibly go wrong?

4. Oh, my. That woman really needs to get out of that toxic marriage.
And yes, I know it's not always an easy thing to do.

And I know that after being the target of that much abuse, the person who is being abused often loses all sense of self and self-worth, and feels that they are getting what they deserve.

And that's so incredibly sad.

DK, I hope with all my heart that your friend can find the strength to leave.

7. thoughts of divorce are creeping into her head.......
she was trying to work it out but I "think" she's coming to the realization people like him are never going to change.

She's very nice, probably way too forgiving. I would have divorced this asshole in a minute, and made him pay literally and figuratively for years. :)

8. I can tell ... you'd have pulled a Lorena B on him
YOW!!

doesn't sound like a case of nice, it's an asshole escalating and if he disrespects her so at this point it's a matter of safety. He needs to be kicked to the curb -- and quick. At a minimum, she needs to get the hell outta there.

10. That's not a husband, that's a control-freak slavemaster
She needs a good divorce attorney and a women's shelter, too, as guys like that
come after women that break free of them with baseball bats (my wife is a social
worker, I know all the horror stories by heart).

16. Before selling the house she needs
a really tough and nasty divorce lawyer - take the bastard for everything he's got.

What's wrong with some women that they put up with crap like that?

He hit her? No man worth being called a man should hit a woman, and no woman should put up with it.

Good vibes for your friend and hope she wises up.

Khash.

17. does your state have a 'he needed killin' law?"
I understand Texas does.
She describes the situation to a judge; he sends her home.
used most often in cases of blatant infidelity.
