3. I suspect most of the posters in GD and GDP are nice too.

Many of them just feel very passionate about their view of the world and choice of candidate right now. Passion is good in the long run, and I consider it a good quality for the most part.

I went through that phase myself at one time. And I found that my time was better spent doing the footwork for the Democratic Party, rather than arguing with a few anonymous people on a message board.

The passion thing, well, ... I just don't see that as a completely bad thing among liberals. I have it too, but choose not to fight about it. I figure we are all on the same side in the end. During the Primaries, the side of passion just depends on whose ox is being gored.

He pre-dates me by a smidge, but Donovan was a singer in the 60s/70s (back when we had these shiny round things made of vinyl) who started off as the "British Bob Dylan" and morphed into a sort of psychodelic, flower power lyricist. He's got a number of hits but "Atlantis" was probably one his top releases.
