It CAN be done. Hint: you have to use some people not commonly known as musicians.

ON EDIT: I did it with 8 people between the two.

Brittany Spears and Frederic Chopin both play music (well, loosely defined in Spear's case). Does that count?

7. I would think the Barrymore is a good direction though
I mean her grandfather was John Barrymore who probably had contact with some of the folks in Chopin's circle

13. Chopin died in Paris in 1849. John Barrymore was born over 30 years later in Philly.
Not much overlap likely, there.

14. Arthur Rubinstein was a COOL DUDE!!
He was really neat.
I saw him play a recital when he was a pup of EIGHTY-TWO YEARS OLD.

That's a good connection.

8. You mean like, "Nixon once played the piano...
...on the Jack Paar Show?" Are we keeping it in the realm of Chopin did something musically which connects to so-and-so, which connects...down to Brit-Brit? Because let's face it, in a world where Obama is distantly related to Cheney, almost anything is possible. (Actually, that's not a good example. I assume all politicians are distantly related!)

15. I can't take it anymore...THE SOLUTION:
Chopin was friends with Franz Liszt.

One of Liszt students (who was by his bedside as he lay dying) was Arthur Friedheim.

One of Friedheim's students was Rildia Bee O'Bryan Cliburn, mother and teacher of famed pianist Van Cliburn.

Van Cliburn recieved the Presidential Medal Of Freedom from Dubya.

Dubya also presented the Presidential Medal Of Freedom to Rita Moreno.

Rita Moreno was on "The Electric Company" with Morgan Freeman.

Morgan Freeman was in "Driving Miss Daisy" with Dan Ackroyd.

Dan Ackroyd was in "Crossroads" with Britney Spears.
