Some good news from my SIL

My SIL, who has been battling colorectal cancer for about two and a half years now, got her most recent pet-scan results. She's in remission!!

She had most of her colon and rectal area removed and has a permanent colostomy from the original surgery, but the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes in her groin, and part of a tumor was surrounding her artery, so they couldn't remove it all.

She's still in pain, though, and they discovered a gallstone, but as long as her tests are clean, she's going to be doing a whole lot better from here on in.
