Yeah, the Turnpike sucks, yadda yadda. Ditto (sorry) most other major routes.

But, get off the beaten path, if you can-traffic doncha know- you'll discover
why it's called The Garden State.

The Vineland area is surrounded by productive farmland.
The famous Jersey Shore is now clean and free of offshore
trash. Not exactly pristine, but, hey, 10 million people
live within a 50 mile radius. NJDEP does it's best.

I could go on and on, but methinks NJ DUers are more qualified
to fill in the blanks.

Went to Drill Sergeant school at Fort Dix NJ. Best thing was seeing the "Leaving" sign in the rear view mirror (OK, so it was the "Entering" sign on the other side, but it just reinforced the blessed "Leaving" message on my side.)
