My husband raises mealworms and sometimes sautees them in butter. They taste nutty but with an airy crisp.

I've also eaten a live one, and wouldn't recommend it. The flavor just isn't them same. Blech.

Water Beetle paste is the bomb, btw. Tastes like thick spice. Best thing to go with Chicken freshly grilled over bamboo.
