DU Group for Trading/Giving Stuff?

Oktoberain's post (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x7740946) about having a bag stolen from a locker and several people's generous offers to send bag(s) that they have and aren't using has made me think that if we don't have one already, perhaps a DU Group for people to give or exchange items would be good? We've all got "stuff" that isn't really worth the effort of attempting to sell on E-Bay or haven't gotten around to donating to Goodwill or whatever, so why not give it to someone who can use it?

I signed up for the freecycle here (*Arlington) but it's so busy I had to stop the email notices.. and now I keep forgetting to go there and list things. But I always come to DU.

Maybe this should be posted in the Frugal group too, there's a 'Frugal' DU group, it's not very busy though.

The purpose of the Trading/Giving group is to offer a place where DU members can post items for trade or giveaway, as well as specific requests for items that others might have available and no longer need.
