Is anybody else awake? Wassup? Let you entertain me. :P

On edit: clearly you people all have a life. Care to share?

2. Laughing.
I might have guessed that the one who gave up alcohol would be the one awake. Good for you!

I'm not entirely sure sweet tea is the answer, dear TK421! I'm entirely serious.

Plus, I await with anticipation your unorthodox posts.

I'm with you, TK421. I haven't quit, but I've quit being a drunk. Every morning feels better. (I'm not suggesting you're a drunk!)

20. It's not just the hangover for me.
Drinking literally depresses me. It's taken me two years to figure out that my misery is not solved by drinking, nor is pleasure enhanced with alcohol. I hope the lesson sticks, for us both.

24. Not to me.
After my husband and I decided on divorce I drank heavily for eighteen months, and then heavier still for six. Suddenly it doesn't interest me and what I notice most is waking and loving the morning. Any time you want to talk, let me know. -lisa

34. No.
Just a quote by the Omphalo, who is in Oregon where I went to school. We were discussing something, I don't recall what, and he brought up the wasted girlfriend. Come to think of it, I haven't seen him in a while. Have you?

Must... sleep. Must... sleep....

4. Hey, my Lovely.
Good to see you. The mood? I think it has everything to do with the antidepressants finally kicking in. Also, spring has arrived in Maine so I'm outside.

How are you? What's your mood? What're you wearing? (kidding) :hi:

still no job, but the weather is fantastic, so it's hard to be down when it's so nice. the guy and i are just lounging about (he's pretty engrossed in his sudoku right now). my mood is further elevated by the fact that we're going to see the cure on wednesday :bounce:

since you asked, i'm wearing my undies and his food not bombs shirt :P

i'm glad you're feeling better, it's such a nice feeling when the meds kick in, i know.

25. It did, about a month ago.
I have cukes, eggplant, tomatoes and much more planted right now. Maine lore tells me that I shouldn't ignore the possibility of frost until after the upcoming full moon but I've thrown caution to the wind!

And now, I must sleep. Wow, up until four. How stupid is that?

Anyone know any good jokes?

The far right extremists of FreeRepublic.com, WSJ.com, Nazi.com, and KKK.com finally get it together and overthrow the government. Then they start rounding up politicians to execute. A firing squad is convened and Al Gore, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush are all marched to a wall to be shot. As the right wing nuts are loading their guns Al Gore thinks, "I've got to cause a diversion so I can get away." He yells "Oh, no. A TORNADO" and points behind the firing squad. As the ultraconservative fruitcakes turn around to see if there is a tornado approaching, Al Gore jumps over the wall behind him and runs away. The firing squad turns their attention back to the two men who are left. Clinton quickly observes how well Gore's ruse has worked and yells "EARTHQUAKE". As the firing squad frantically looks for a place to take cover Clinton jumps over the wall and he too escapes. The firing squad resumes their stance and proceeds to take aim at George W. Bush. Dubya, believing that he, too, can create a diversion, frantically searches his mind for another natural disaster to use. Smiling to himself, he yells "FIRE".

I SUCK at telling jokes, even in written form but if you want to discuss Heidegger's philosophy... well you're going to have to turn elsewhere for that too.

Nice to see you, though? Wanna talk about food? :P

26. I probably could!
But you'd have to move to CT or Mass and like powerplants! We do have the casinos down here, where there's always openings, too.

I grew up in a paper mill town in Maine, where there's not much left after they downsized. Little did I suspect that I would wind up making power and steam for a paper mill here in CT. Those things keep following me around!!

I'm so happy to be in Bangor and not Brooksville, because of the difference in bug concentration. Cool that you grew up in Maine: i grew up in the west - Vancouver and Salem.

27. nyquil kicking in...
here's a joke...

A first grade teacher in the Midwest is explaining to her class that she is a Republican and how nice it is to have a Republican president in office. She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Republicans and support George Bush. Everyone in class raises their hands except one little girl. "Mary," says the teacher with surprise, "why didn't you raise your hand?" Because I'm not a Republican," says Mary. "Well, what are you?" asks the teacher. "I'm a Democrat and proud of it," replies the little girl. The teacher cannot believe her ears. "My goodness, Mary, why are you a Democrat?" she asks. “Well, my momma and papa are Democrats, so I'm a Democrat, too." "Well," says the teacher in an annoyed tone, "that's no reason for you to be a Democrat. You don't always have to be like your parents. What if your momma was a criminal and your papa was a criminal, too, what would you be then?" "Then," Mary smiled, "then we'd be Republicans."
