Holidays you'd like to see in your city....

I would LOVE a "Punch a tourist in the face" day.

I live just off the main touristy area, and just walking two blocks to go to the store is a pain in the ass... all these people just dawdle and slowly stroll up the street. They're like pylons. I want JUST ONE DAY where I can punch one of em and get away with it.

90% of the people I know play hookey that day anyway.

Our annual jazz festival is next weekend, and the town will be besieged by badly dressed midwestern retirees and their horrible dixieland bands.

Alternately, I'd like to see a ban on building subdivisions in badly protected floodplains. But developers own us, so that isn't going to happen.
