12. if you are saying goodbye "forever" you say adieu.
old school that meant "farewell."

if you are saying goodbye but you will see someone again, you say à bien tôt - like "see you again soon."

so long for now - à tant tôt

au revoir means good bye until I see you again.

mon ami = friend
mes amis = friends (it's a masculline noun)
