It's like some strange, evil experiment.

The Unhealthiest Drink in America
Baskin Robbin’s Large Heath Bar Shake (32 oz)
2,310 calories
266 g sugar
108 g fat (64 g saturated)

Let's look at America's Worst Drink in numbers:

73: The number of ingredients that go into this milkshake.
66: The number of teaspoons of sugar this drink contains.
11: The number of Heath Bars you would have to eat to equal the number of calories found in one Baskin Robbins Large Heath Bar Shake.
8-12: The average number of minutes it takes to consume this drink.
240: The number of minutes you’d need to spend on a treadmill burning it off, running at a moderate pace.

2. More...

http://health.yahoo.com/experts/eatthis/2598/is-this-the-worst-drink-on-the-planet/

The menu description may sound simple enough: “A blend of HEATH Bar Crunch and Jamoca® ice creams, chopped HEATH Bar pieces and caramel, topped with whipped cream and chopped HEATH Bar pieces.” But the ingredient list reveals a much more complicated story. Methyl paraben, propylene glycol, polysorbate 80: You’d need a degree in chemical engineering just to have a shot at cracking this brain-freezing code. All told, the list of ingredients runs seven inches and 73 ingredients long. Whatever happened to the days when a milkshake was just ice cream and milk?

As unsavory as this list of indecipherable emulsifiers, preservatives, and artificial flavorings may be, the most concerning part comes when you consider the sheer nutritional impact of this weapon of mass construction.

To give you some perspective, slurping up one 32-ounce Heath Shake is the caloric equivalent of eating 12 Krispy Kreme doughnuts, the saturated fat equivalent of scarfing 60 slices of bacon, and will give you the same sugar rush as working your way through 13 Haagen Dazs Vanilla and Almond ice cream bars.

5. PG used as antifreeze isn't "food grade...."
I won't pursue that matter further, just wanted to set the record as straight as it can be set. It's a VERY common food additive.

9. Holy fuck.
I'm diabetic, so I'm really used to looking at carbs. Let's put this in perspective.

Most insulin I *ever* take for a meal, 5 units.

Insulin I'd need to cover that thing? 20 units.

Gross.

going to drink that. thats just way too much, maybe in a smaller size, like half it would be ok.

Yet, I feel I have failed because I could not find a pix online of Homer with that eclair bomb from the Simpsons episode when he was a food critic (?). As I was reading the article about this "dessert', I was thinking about the scene where the frnch baker was pumping a tankful of butter into the eclair.

18. About this "vitamin water" trend -
Wouldn't it be just as easy (and cheaper) to drink regular water and take a vitamin supplement? "Vitamin water" just seems like a new and exciting way to separate people from their money.

I just about fell over reading the caloric content.

11 Heath Bars to equal this one shake! 66 teaspoons of sugar! Unbelievable.
