Well, I'm having a mole biopsied

The doc found a funky looking mole on my back, and this morning she removed it and sent it off to the lab.

I'll know the results in about a week or so.

I'm one of those pasty, freckled, sunburn prone Irish types, so I meet a lot of risk factors.

1. The waiting sucks, but hopefully all will turn out well.

Not knowing was the worst for me. When it came back that I did have cancer it was still kind of a relief to at least know, as I then could at least focus on something, namely how it would be dealt with. Once I knew I could plan and take control of the situation mentally. Not knowing and wondering just drives one crazy.

We went through a cancer fight a few years ago when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Hopefully, we won't have a repeat of that ordeal.
