Damn, Damn, Damn, Another death of someone I knew all too well

[The Straight Story]

Pam. she was the first girl I ever 'did' anything with. Also a close family friend and only 44 (I am 42).

Just got the email from my dad. Right after mom died I took my wife to the hospital when she was having an Asthma attack and I saw Pam there with her dad.

Here is what dad sent me (Last name removed for privacy's sake)

Funeral services are tomorrow for Pam...
She has been a home for quite a while. She finally has had both legs lost below the knee. She was a diabetic, a few weeks ago she had to have her gulblatter removed and was
going for dialasis 3 times a week. She spent the last week or so in intensive care and passed away ant 7:45 am last sunday.
Terri and dorthy have been going to see her regular for several months.
Of course she has lost lots of weight and there is no way that you would have known her. She looked nice but I could not tell who it was. I have never seen her thin.
Just thought I would pass this on to you.

Just damn. I was good friends with her brother and sister when I was back in Ohio Last Year, and helped her daughter with computer issues. I spent my youth with her and her family (her mom died a few years back).

I just lost my happy mood tonight and need to go for awhile.
