1. I always thought she looked really cute back in the day.
As in the 2003 picture.

Then she lost a lot of weight for Black Snake Moan. Now... holy hell. She looks like crap.

2. She's always had eating disorder issues.
Take a look at some of her pix from the 90s, as a younger teenager. She's talked fairly openly about her bulimia/anorexia in the past. She has probably hit a bit of trouble lately, or has taken it off for a role she's been cast in.

5. Well..
If my daughter (Q) looked like that i'd be really upset.

And she wants to look like that first pic (she hasn't seen it)

:grr:

Just her Dad speaking!

:hi:

6. young girls and food -
and all the twigs like Paris and Nicole Richie don't help at all. Damn Rachel Zoe "stylist" who had all those young stars looking gaunt and skeletal.

In high school, I got really, really thin - I'm 5'7" and was 105, watching what I ate, never finishing any meal, etc.. I'd lost a lot of weight with a really bad case of the flu, and then just worked to keep it off. Never got into the overexercising thing, or purging, or anything - just restricted my intake. My dad is a psychiatrist who treated people with eating disorders (!) and he and my mom (a nurse) were pretty low-key. But then again, I never tipped over into full-on anorexia, and finally decided that being uncomfortable when I sat down b/c my ass was so bony was no fun.

Also had a few friends, and a few guys I was dating, tell me I was too thin. And I listened.

I think a lot of it is just being vigilant, really watching a kid's stress levels, and not pushing (unless it becomes necessary).

:hi: back -- you guys have anything planned for the weekend? We're probably just going to lie low - avoid the roads, maybe go for a few hikes if the weather cooperates.

Q is not quite that way. She just does not eat much, except for cheezits!

Anyway we don't have much planned for the weekend. Sonia had a cat moment this evening during Jeopardy. She's had her cat momemts, but it's just REALLY cute when she lets go and becomes a real cat!! BTW, Sonia is the Food Nazi in the morning! The boys are happy to sleep in late in teh morning (me included!!!), but not Sonia! Come 4:30am she's awake and ready to eat!!
