Anybody else having a problem with aunts?
Edited on Sat May-24-08 06:51 PM by Drunken Irishman
One of my aunts is mean, like really mean and she sounds like Roseanne Barr. I guess she can be cool at times, but if you push her buttons, she treats you like crap. I remember when I was in high school I went over to her house to paint a room with her and she had run to the store while I was outside painting one of the room's chairs. Anyway, she came home and I helped her bring in the groceries and she asked me if I wanted to stay the night or if she needed me to drive her home. Well I had an AP US History test that Monday and wanted to spend Sunday studying for it, but knew if I stayed over she wouldn't have been able to get me home until early Sunday evening. So I told her no and why and she freaked out at me. Started cursing me right there on her front lawn, saying she hated me and wished I was dead. I just sat there in shock and she freaking calls up my mom and tells my mom this and my mom, trying to play the peace maker, says I should stay. But I didn't and her future husband drove me home.

God that was a horrible day and my grandma lit into her after that. I've never seen my grandma so angry in my life.

1. I'm an aunt
:)

I don't think anyone has a problem with me, if so, I've not heard about it.

2. My dad's sister is nasty as hell.
She recently called to bitch out my mother for losing some old ancestral pictures in the flood. She barely made it out with a set of clothes and her life. Why would she have been worried about some freaking pictures? The woman hasn't had anything to do with us for 12 years, and she chooses now to freaking lose it on her. Of course, it just set her off that my mom called looking for my uncle who is visiting from California. She gets terribly jealous when he visits other family while he's here. I'm apparently just his niece and my mom the widow of his oldest brother and not worth his time. HAG.

3. Aunt Dahlia is a good egg,
The rest of them make a chap want to take a round-the-world cruise on a very slow boat.

4. My aunt is a horror show....
I feel your pain. She begged my grandma to come live with her in her downstairs apartment, kept raising her rent and when it was too much evicted her, HER OWN FUCKING MOTHER!!! There is no pit in hell deep enough for her, my dad and I keep joking that we should sprinkle a little bit of grandma on her welcome mat so she tracks her in every day, if you knew grandma, she would definately be on board with that;)

5. All of my aunts live in Florida or Kentucky now.
I rarely see them. So, when I do, it's a nice thing.

6. I only had 3 aunts.
One of them is dead, one lives a long distance away and I never see her.

I talk to my Aunt who lives near Austin everyday, I check in on her.

So sorry you had such a bad time with your Aunt.

Aunts can be very special.

7. Wow, she sounds slightly insane.
My aunt just gossips and seems to think I"m gay, so I guess I'm doing okay in the aunt department.
