Happy Birthday, Bob Dylan (67)! May you stay "Forever Young."
Edited on Sat May-24-08 07:06 PM by SCRUBDASHRUB

"Forever Young"

May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young

5. Yeah, and rumour has it that Springsteen was in town to make a guest appearance.
Pretty cool, even though I'm not a huge Springsteen fan.

7. Listen, you all should read
Suze Rotolo's new book "A Freewheelin' Time." I finished it last night and I loved every page. Her life is incredibly interesting in its own right. It is clear that Dylan really treated women like shit. It is a great read. Her writing is deep and vivid.

10. I ordered it. I'm finishing up "Love, Janis" first, then I'll read Suze's book.
I've already skimmed through it.

Bob Dylan - Girl From The North Country (1964)

Well, if you're travelin' in the north country fair,
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline,
Remember me to one who lives there.
She once was a true love of mine.

Well, if you go when the snowflakes storm,
When the rivers freeze and summer ends,
Please see if she's wearing a coat so warm,
To keep her from the howlin' winds.

Please see for me if her hair hangs long,
If it rolls and flows all down her breast.
Please see for me if her hair hangs long,
That's the way I remember her best.

I'm a-wonderin' if she remembers me at all.
Many times I've often prayed
In the darkness of my night,
In the brightness of my day.

So if you're travelin' in the north country fair,
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline,
Remember me to one who lives there.
She once was a true love of mine.
